1.1. Body Vehicle History

Bodi Vehicle History

Around the year 1896 - 1910, vehicle body is still made of wood for the chassis and bodinya. This is still influenced by the time the carriage body. Timber used has a thickness of about 10 mm. Connections between components using nails made of wrought iron. To the roof of the vehicle, one uses the ordinary cloth, canvas cloth, but there is also the use of wood in order to the body can be strong.

In 1921, Weymann introduce a reinforcement for the floor construction of other body components, such as a wall of vehicles and vehicle seats. Floor deliberately made from strong materials, while other components can be made from lightweight components. Connection with the floor wall using a steel plate dibaut, and to eliminate the gap between the connection is usually used wood. The panels are made of cloth, canvas and leather exterior use. However, these materials have a short life.

After the vehicle demand increases, we need a rapid process of making body and can be mass produced. The development of metal technology then accelerated technology development vehicle body, where the iron can be processed and shaped using a press machine.

New in 1927 (see figure 1.3) overall vehicle body made of metal, where the vehicle body which consists of various components has been made of sheet plate formed / pressed. With the development of metal processing was increased, then the production can also increase vehicle production.

Request a vehicle that continues to increase, cause there is competition between companies in producing vehicles. Body of technical experts for each company trying to create a vehicle body in accordance with the needs, ergonomics and comfort and features for the driver and passenger.

Technological developments in the chassis body from year to year are also making progress. For example, wheeled vehicles that do not initially have the same diameter, the rear wheel is bigger than the front wheel, the fingers are made of wood and metal coated steel wheels into the wheel that already use both rubber and metal alloy of iron or aluminum. Even now the technology was not wearing tire inner tube (tubeless tire) that is more secure and easy to use.

The roof of the vehicle (head lining) which was originally only made of cloth, and then shifts were made of vinyl or plastic that is more attractive shape and easily cleaned. Also relatively easy installation process using adhesive (glue). Passenger comfort in driving also be improved, for example, which has a spring seat and adjustable position, such as interior door trim, panels, dashboard made of plastic vinyl or carpet floor even easier to clean. Steering system which used a walking stick turned into a steering wheel, gear shifting lever to adjust the acceleration also comfort the driver and many other improvements.

Electrical systems also began to be developed. At first light vehicle oil use, then evolved using the acetylene (carbide) and now uses a battery as a power source. Lighting functions previously only as a means of lighting at night, this time also used as signal lights and signs in an effort to improve safety in driving. The lights are also in the interests of vehicle accessories to enhance the look of the vehicle.

The development of vehicle body, also plays an important role in terms of vehicle capabilities. First time Cugnot invented the steam engine vehicles, could only walk about 5 km / h, but this time the vehicle can run at speeds above 100 km / h but still comfortable, safe and not noisy. Most people probably only think that the speed depends on the engine, but this time people began to realize that the vehicle speed is also influenced by the stability of the vehicle and the vehicle body shape and surface. As on the racecourse, aerodynamics of a vehicle is essential to achieve speed and stability kendaraan, this is the case with ordinary vehicles, now the body become one very important thing and is always carried out the development.

Mercedes M-Class Model 163 climate control system '98 to '01

The heating, ventilation, and A/C (HVAC) system in the M-Class has semiautomatic temperature regulation and manual control over the air source and distribution. The temperature control is achieved without the use of a heater valve, also called mono valve in other models. The M-Class heater core is thus always hot, at about 87 deg C. Air Conditioning Switch The On/Off switch connects to the A/C control module (N19), which, through the All Activity Module (N10) controls the activation of the air conditioning compressor clutch. The A/C compressor operates only when the engine is running and the blower motor is switched on. The AAM (N10) also uses other information from the CAN to choose when to operate the compressor clutch, i.e. engine temperature. Air Temperature Control An NTC resistor behind a grille below the low range switch senses the in-cabin temperature. A hose connects it to the main climate box thus drawing air across the sensor. Air temperature is ...
